Filler Aftercare Instructions
Hello Gorgeous ✨ We’re thrilled you trusted us with your filler treatment! To help you get the best results (and make them last), here are a few simple aftercare tips. Nothing complicated—just a little TLC for your skin. Follow these simple steps to keep swelling down, healing smooth, and results flawless.
Avoid the Following for at Least 24 Hours
Strenuous exercise: Elevated heart rate can increase swelling and bruising.
Alcoholic beverages: Alcohol thins the blood and can make bruising worse.
Extended sun or heat exposure: Skip saunas, hot tubs, and tanning beds—heat can increase inflammation.
Dental procedures or other facial treatments: Hold off for at least two weeks to avoid unnecessary pressure on the treated area.
Redness, Swelling, & Bruising
It’s common to notice temporary swelling, redness, bruising, Itching, or tenderness at the injection sites. Bruising from filler usually resolves within 14 days, but can take up to 30 days or longer. If needed, you can use arnica gel as directed to sooth the area. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) can also be taken as directed.
Sleep & Position
For the first night, try sleeping on your back with your head slightly elevated. This helps reduce swelling and keeps filler from shifting while it settles.
Makeup & Skincare
You can gently apply makeup after 24 hours, but avoid heavy rubbing, exfoliating, or strong skincare products (like retinols, acids, or scrubs) for the first few days. Keep your skincare routine gentle and hydrating.
Medications to Avoid
Unless prescribed by your doctor, skip blood-thinning medications like aspirin, ibuprofen, or naproxen right after treatment, as they can worsen bruising. If needed, acetaminophen (Tylenol) can be taken as directed.
Results Timeline
Fillers give immediate results—but they’ll continue to soften and settle over the next 1–2 weeks. Bruising and swelling typically resolve within 14 days, but can take up to 30 days or longer to fully resolve. Please wait the full 2 weeks before considering touch-ups so we we give everything time to settle before making adjustments.
